Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about finding parts, VIN compatibility, engines, transmissions, salvage vehicles and shipping.

Finding parts

How do I find the right part for my vehicle?

Use the finder with your year, make, model and engine, or send a part request. Including your VIN and any part number from the old part gives our team the best chance of matching the correct part.

Why do you ask for my VIN?

Many parts change within the same model year depending on engine, trim, drivetrain and build date. The VIN lets our team check those details with the supplier before you order. You will find it on the driver side of the dashboard, the driver door jamb, and your registration.

Do you ship across Canada?

Yes. We arrange shipping to customers across Canada. Shipping is quoted for each order based on the part and your location.

Do you ship internationally?

International export is available for many destinations. Tell us your country and city when you request a part and we will confirm shipping options before you order.

Do you sell used engines and transmissions?

Yes. We source used engines and transmissions for many makes and models through our supplier network. Send your vehicle details to check availability and pricing.

What about warranty and returns?

Warranty and return terms can vary by part and supplier. Ask us before you order and we will tell you what applies to the part you are being quoted.

Used engines

How do I know which engine fits my vehicle?

Engines can differ within the same model year. Send your VIN and engine size or engine code, and our team will check compatibility with the supplier before you order.

What should I send with an engine request?

Year, make, model, engine size, VIN and your shipping destination. If possible, add the engine code and a photo of the label on the old engine.

Is the mileage of a used engine known?

When the supplier provides donor vehicle mileage we include it in the listing or quote. Ask us if it is not shown.

How is an engine shipped?

Engines are usually strapped to a pallet and shipped by freight. We quote shipping to your location before you order.

Is there a warranty on used engines?

Warranty terms depend on the engine and supplier. Ask us and we will confirm what applies to the engine you are quoted.

Used transmissions

How do I identify the correct transmission?

Transmissions often vary by engine, drivetrain and build date. Your VIN and, if available, the code on the tag of the old unit are the most reliable way to match it.

Do you source automatic, manual and CVT transmissions?

Yes, for FWD, RWD, AWD and 4WD vehicles, depending on what is available for your vehicle.

How is a transmission shipped?

Transmissions are usually shipped by freight on a pallet. We quote shipping to your location before you order.

Is there a warranty on used transmissions?

Warranty terms depend on the unit and supplier. Ask us and we will confirm what applies before you order.

Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is quoted per order. It depends on the size and weight of the part, the shipping method and the destination.

How are engines and transmissions shipped?

Large components are normally strapped to a pallet and shipped by freight. Smaller parts are boxed and shipped by courier.

Do you ship outside Canada?

International export is available for many destinations. Tell us your country and city and we will confirm options before you order.

Who handles customs and import duties?

Import duties, taxes and paperwork depend on the destination country. We will explain what we can arrange when we quote, and buyers should also check their local import rules.

Will I get tracking?

Ask us when you order and we will share the tracking details available for your shipping method.

Salvage vehicles

What is a salvage vehicle?

A salvage vehicle has been damaged or declared a total loss and is usually sold for repair, rebuilding or parts. Rules for registering a rebuilt salvage vehicle differ by province and country.

Can I ask about a specific vehicle?
